St. Joseph of Arimethea Society Service Opportunity

The Archdiocese Youth Ministry office has asked our parish to take a week this summer to serve as pallbearers and handle any religious readings for the indigent burial program run by the Louisville deputy coroner’s office.

This program buries those who have died and whose bodies are unclaimed or simply a family who cannot afford to bury or cremate their loved ones.

The Joseph of Arimethea Society is hosted by St. Xavier, Trinity and Assumption High Schools.

While the summer term is here, they are asking youth coordinators to call upon their parishes to cover one week.

We have been assigned Thursday, July 17th.  Most services are at 10 a.m. and/or noon.  This is taking place at Meadow View Cemetery at 11801 Deering Rd., Louisville.

I need 6 volunteers who will serve as pall bearers and then help with the prayer service.  TEENS are highly encouraged to volunteer!  Adults are also needed.

Please contact Lisa at the parish office is you are willing to serve.
