Prayers requested: Passing of parishioner, Mel Kraft

Melvin Henry Kraft

January 30, 1922 — September 10, 2014
Melvin Henry Kraft, 92, of Mt. Washington, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at his home.  He was a native of Watseka, IL, a farmer, and a parishioner of Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Mount Washington.  He was preceded in death by his first wife, Eleanor Patnaude; and his parents, Henry and Bertha Kraft.  
Melvin is survived by his loving wife, Ella Reindl Kraft; a son, Rodney Kraft; four daughters, Elaine Buckner, Marcia Schroeder, Jacqueline Glenn, and Cindy DeVore; a sister, Rita Davis; along with 11 Grandchildren; 19 Great Grandchildren; and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren.  
Deacon Gerry Mattingly will preside at Melvin's Funeral service  on Sunday evening at 7 p.m. at McFarland-Troutman-Proffitt Funeral Home, Mt. Washington.  Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until time of service on Sunday. Expressions of sympathy in Melvin's memory may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
