Obituary for parishioner, Charlie Foreman



CHARLIE “DOC” FOREMAN 80, departed this life on May 27, 2015 to be with his heavenly Father after a long battle with congestive heart failure. Charlie was a loving husband, father and devout Catholic who enjoyed riding in horse shows, bowling, golfing, singing in the church choir, traveling with his wife and being with his family.

He was born August 22, 1934 in Louisville, Kentucky, the son of Dr. William and Elizabeth Neumayer Foreman.

He is survived by his wife, Nollie; sons, David Foreman and wife, Lisa of Atlanta, Georgia, Craig Foreman and wife, Kari of Sellersburg, Indiana and Mark Hensley and wife, Carol of Cincinnati, OH. From Louisville, his sister, Delores “Deevie” Zike and husband, Ron; son, Bob Hensley and wife, Beth; daughter, Dianne Hensley. and grandchildren, Susie and Charlie Foreman, Jay and Katie Hensley and Skyler Foreman.

Charlie earned a bachelors degree in biology from Bellarmine College and a masters degree in electron microscopy in NewYork. He retired after 30 years from the University of Louisville Medical School as an electron microscopist. U of L was not the only job held by Charlie. He also worked at Labcorp of America, formerly “National Health Labs”.

Charlie was passionate about his life, his faith, his family, his pets and his work.

He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Father Jack Caldwell will preside at Charlie's Funeral Mass at noon on Tuesday June 2, 2015 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 155 Stringer Land, Mt. Washington, KY. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Monday June 1, 2015 at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road.

Expressions of sympathy may be given to his church's legacy fund or Hosparus.


Please pray for Charlie's eternal rest and joy in the Kingdom, and peace and comfort for his family and friends.
